Suffolk police have made two arrests in the Monday robbery of a pizza delivery driver.
Police took 18-year-olds Trashion Brown and Deshaun Griffin into custody after developing leads on the robbery that took place in the 100 block of South Fourth Street, city spokeswoman Debbie George said.
George said the delivery driver was approached by three males, one of whom produced a handgun and demanded money. The victim handed over a small amount of money and the suspects fled behind some houses, George said. The victim was not injured and contacted police after leaving the area.
In addition to the two arrests, police also have warrants on file for 18-year-old Demetrius Bazemore. He goes by the nickname “Meathead.”
All are charged with robbery, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and conspiracy to commit robbery.
George said it is unknown if this robbery is connected to a similar one Saturday night just a few blocks west on Oak Street. There were only two suspects reported in that crime, however.
