Cover 3 Football, a non-profit organization based in Franklin and founded by Franklin native and former NFL player Greg Scott, is running youth football and cheer camps throughout the winter and spring.
The camps are scheduled during winter break from school and during most schools’ spring breaks.
The C3F Christmas Football Camp is set for Dec. 27-30, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. each day, at the Virginia Beach Field House.
The camp is for boys and girls ages 6-14 and costs $185 per child.
Campers and parents are encouraged to bring canned goods to the camp. Alongside everything C3F does on the sports field, the charity organization brings free, nutritious meals to kids all around Virginia on a daily basis. Kids who donate food during the camp will get a baller band.
The C3F Spring Football and Cheer Camp will be held at Hayden Field in Franklin from April 10-12, 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. each day.
The cost for the camp, for boys and girls ages 6-14, is two canned food goods per camper.
Campers will get a free, healthy lunch before leaving camp each day.
At the Virginia Beach Field House, C3F is hosting its Spring Football Position Workout for boys ages 12-17. The camp will be from 1 to 4 p.m. each day and it costs $125 per player.
Scott is the founder and chief executive officer of Cover 3 Football, Inc. along with being an assistant football coach at King’s Fork. He played at Southampton High, Hampton University, then in the pros as a defensive lineman with the Bengals and Redskins.
