The Southampton Storm 16U Fastpitch softball team finished third and earned a berth into the 2012 National Softball Association (NSA) World Series at the Season Fall Finale last weekend in Newport News.

The Storm went 2-1 in group play, with a 4-0 victory over Team Dynasty and a 7-1 win over the James River Rage during Saturday’s play.

In the bracket rounds, the Storm beat the Williamsburg Starz 9-1 in the quarterfinals before a 2-0 loss to the Galaxy.

The Southampton Storm continues its fall season with two more tournaments in November.

The Storm team is Haley Boykin, Chelsea Pinner, August Ringer, Shelby Billups, Demone Brickhouse, Bailey Griffin, Sally Vick, Brittany Wade, Molly Langford, Chelsea Burks, Kaylee Harris, Emily Nelson, Ashlee Beuhner, Heather Bradshaw, Lacoura Ellis and Sierra Johnson.
