Lady Saints take third at NA meet

Nansemond-Suffolk’s girls cross country team finished third out of nine squads in the Norfolk Academy Invitational on Saturday.

Freshman Maya Venkataraman finished fourth in 21:06. NSA’s top five runners were Venkataraman, sophomore Darcy King, sophomore Macy Mears, eighth-grader Katey King and senior Kelly Wild.

Princess Anne won the girls meet with Currituck County taking second.

The Saints placed fifth on the boys’ side. Junior Marc Leber finished 13th in 19:22.

Currituck finished first with Norfolk Academy as runner-up.
