Cardiovascular Specialists, a Bon Secours Medical Group Practice, added a new doctor to its team last week.

Dr. Kevin E. Zawacki will join Bon Secours Virginia Health System by serving patients at Marvyiew Medical Center in Portsmouth and DePaul Medical Center in Norfolk.

Cardiovascular Specialists also has an office at the Bon Secours Harbour View Health Center.

Zawacki earned his bachelor’s degree in chemistry at Alma College in Michigan and received his doctorate at the Uniformed Services University of Health Sciences in Bethesda, Md.

For most of his medical career, Zawacki worked at hospitals in Maryland, including participating in fellowship training in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at the University of Maryland Medical System in Baltimore.

Prior to coming to Bon Secours, Zawacki was a staff interventional cardiologist at the Naval Medical Center in Portsmouth.

Zawacki is also a member of the American College of Cardiology and is board certified by the National Board of Medical Examiners and the American Board of Internal Medicine.
