Austin McCroy Purrington, 48, of 2311 E. Washington St., Suffolk, Va., died Monday, July 18, 2011, at his residence. He was a native of Suffolk, Va., and the son of Clifton Purrington Sr. and the late Otelia E. Purrington.

A funeral service will be held at noon, Saturday, July 23, 2011, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by Bishop Madison Copeland. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
