Jesse W. Bradley, 66, of 912 Barbara Drive, Suffolk, died Tuesday, July 12, 2011, at Sentara Obici Hospital. He was a native of Nansemond County, Va., and the son of Jesse Bradley Sr. and Annie Mae Washington.
He attended East Suffolk High School. He retired after 35 years from the Virginia Dept. of Transportation. He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church.
He leaves to cherish his memory: his wife, Linda R. Bradley; two daughters, Cynthia Johnson-Deloatch (Calvin), of Newport News, Va., and April Edwards (Raymond), of Suffolk; two sons, Marcus Bradley and Alfonza Felton, of Portsmouth, Va.; three sisters, Georgia Mae Rountree (Julius), of Portsmouth, Zenobia Bradley and Gerald Faulk (Michael), both of Suffolk; three brothers, Vernon Bradley (Rhonda), of Suffolk, Carroll Bradley (Faye), of Richmond, Va., and Alton Bradley (Monica), of Portsmouth; seven grandchildren and five great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, July 18, 2011, in the chapel of Crocker Funeral Home officiated by the Rev. George Smith. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
