Development would be dangerous

To the editor:
Developers want to build 158 multi-family units and 128 single-family cluster homes on the undeveloped land on Pitchkettle Road between Westhaven Lakes and 58 Bypass.
We were told that traffic studies showed that would have NO impact on traffic on Pitchkettle Road, a two-lane road with a two-lane bridge. What can these traffic engineers be thinking?
Each of these 286 homes would house at least one car and more likely two. All of those cars will be exiting onto Pitchkettle Road, some headed to the highway and some to the new Prentis Street and downtown Suffolk straight down Pitchkettle and through the Boston neighborhood, where there are no sidewalks and the residents have to walk on Pitchkettle Road.
How can anyone think that is a safe situation?
