Brenda Doretha Boone, 57, of 1005 Railroad Ave., Suffolk, died Tuesday, June 7, 2011, at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Suffolk and the daughter of the late Wallace Al Hall and Dorothy Mae Johnson Hall. She was preceded in death by her sister, Eula M. Hall Riddick.

She attended Suffolk Public Schools. Brenda was a member of New Hope Baptist Church in Franklin, Va.

She leaves to cherish her memory one daughter, Belinda Boone Johnson, of Suffolk; three sons, Dennis Boone, Elbert Riddick (Darlene) and Sylvester Riddick, all of Suffolk; six grandchildren; nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 13, 2011, at Faith Temple Apostolic Church officiated by Minister Jerry Boone. Interment will be in Pleasant Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends at her residence and also will assemble there Monday at noon for the procession to the service. Crocker Funeral Home, Inc. is handling the arrangements.
