Suffolk police are seeking two women they believe assaulted the fiancé of one of the women in the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn on Thursday.
According to police spokeswoman Debbie George, Josie Babb and her fiancé, Lee Allen Boone, were riding in a car driven by Carolyn Darden.
The couple allegedly got into an argument, so Darden pulled into the parking lot of the Hilton Garden Inn, where Babb got out of the vehicle, reached back in to retrieve a tire iron, and allegedly started beating her fiancé with it “multiple times,” George said.
Darden then allegedly struck Boone with the car, George said.
The women then fled the scene. Despite his injuries, Boone declined medical attention.
Police have warrants on file for Babb for malicious wounding, and for Darden for malicious wounding and hit and run.
Anyone who has information on the women’s whereabouts is asked to call Crime Line at 1-888-LOCK-U-UP. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court, and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.
