Johnson to be elevated to bishop

Elder Wallace M. Johnson, pastor and founder of Grace Apostolic Bibleway Temple in Suffolk, will be elevated to the office of bishop during a service in Baltimore, Md., on June 5 at 11 a.m. at the 66th International Convention of Church of God in Christ Jesus of the Apostolic Faith.
The minister-in-charge is Bishop William Faison, presiding bishop and pastor of Bibleway Holiness Church in Chesapeake, Va.
Johnson received his calling into the ministry and was first licensed and later ordained as an elder by the Pentecostal Assemblies of the World Inc., during the 1980s. Since that time, he has received extensive Biblical education and training and has coordinated numerous youth conferences, church conferences and ministerial seminars.
Johnson is a native of North Carolina and has been married for 36 years to Missionary Ethel K. Johnson. He is the father of two daughters and three sons.
