Suffolk Police are investigating an armed robbery at the Check into Cash location in the 1000 block of Portsmouth Boulevard.
Two black men entered the business about 1:20 p.m. and demanded cash while holding the clerk at gunpoint, city spokeswoman Debbie George said. The men took an undisclosed amount of currency before fleeing the business. No one was injured.
The suspects were wearing dark clothing, George said. Police are working with a possible vehicle description of a burgundy sedan, possibly a Ford Taurus, with tinted windows and chrome around the fenders.
