To the editor:

A great big “Thank you!” to the City of Suffolk Public Works for their excellent job in mowing our highway right-of-ways. It is always a pleasure every time to ride our highways. I thank God for the beauty but I know it is because of hard work and funds being allocated for the work.

Recently I had the rare occasion to ride on the interstate to the beach. The pampas grass, which used to be so beautiful, had trees and bushes growing up in it, and the regular grass was disgraceful.

We are all on “limited incomes” of one kind or another. For as long as you can, City of Suffolk, please keep our right-of-ways groomed.
