Nancy and Gerald Pyle of Staunton, formerly of Franklin, announce the engagement of their daughter, Laura Rogers Pyle, to Daniel Thomas Wright, son of Deborah and Carl Wright of Crystal Lake, Ill.

Miss Pyle graduated from Southampton High School and has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Swarthmore College, a Master of Fine Arts degree from Mary Baldwin College and a law degree from Loyola University Chicago.

Wright received a Bachelor of Arts degree and a Master of Sciences degree from the University of Illinois, where he is currently a Ph.D. candidate.

A spring wedding is planned in Staunton.
