Williamsen, Ramsey wed

Amber Dimech Williamsen of Kingwood, Texas, and John Carter Ramsey IV of St. Simon’s Island, Ga., were wed May 15 at Seven Mile Beach, Caribbean Club, on Grand Cayman Island.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Duane Andrew Williamsen of Kingwood.
The groom is the son of Mr. and Mrs. John Carter Ramsey III of St. Simon’s Island and the late Janet Schumann Ramsey of Suffolk. He is the grandson of Mrs. John C. Ramsey Jr. and the late Mr. Ramsey, as well as Mrs. Colin R. Davis and the late Mr. Davis, all of Suffolk; and Mrs. Louis Schumann and the late Mr. Schumann of Richmond.
The Rev. Otto Minka officiated at the ceremony, and violinist Samuel Rose performed the music. The bride was given in marriage by her father.
She wore a Lazaro ivory tulle strapless bridal gown that had an Alencon Lane elongated bodice with handmade silk flower accents and chapel train. Her veil had an Alencon lace edge.
The bride’s flowers were elegan white cymbidium orchids, hand-tied with an ivory ribbon.
Attendants included William Troy Anderson of St. Simons Island, brother of the groom, and Andrew Williamsen of Kingwood, brother of the bride. Witnesses were Andrew Williamsen and Ashley Ramsey, the groom’s sister.
A reception was held at Luca Restaurant on Grand Cayman, and the couple will honeymoon in Italy in the fall. A rehearsal dinner was held May 14 at Cracked Conch Restaurant, Grand Cayman, for the out-of-town guests, hosted by Carter and Beth Ramsey, parents of the groom.
The couple lives on Seven Mile Beach on Grand Cayman Island. The bride is employed by Deloitte & Touche on Grand Cayman Island. The groom is employed by Marsh Management Services on Grand Cayman Island.
