Rontrell Lennard Parker, 19, died Thursday, Aug. 12, 2010 at Children’s Hospital of the King’s Daughters. He was born to Tracy Eure and Ronald Parker on Sept. 7, 1990. He was predeceased by his paternal grandmother, Linda Parker Harrell and his aunt, Teresa Rae Crocker.
He was a 2008 graduate of Lakeland High School, where he played basketball. He attended St. Paul’s College in Lawrenceville, Va. He was a member of Prince of Peace Church, Franklin, Va.
He leaves to cherish his memory his mother, Tracy Eure, of Suffolk, Va. and his father, Ronald Parker, of Fort Sill, Okla.; one sister, Courtney Z. Eure, of Suffolk; one brother, Rontrais D. Parker, of Hampton, Va.; his maternal grandparents, Annie and David Williams Jr., of Suffolk; great-grandmother, Dorothy White, of Corapeake, N.C.; his paternal grandfather, Larry Tillery, of Virginia Beach, Va.; his aunts, Pamela Copeland (Dwayne), of Suffolk, Melinda Debrew (Gabriel), of Richmond, Latoya Robinson (Thomas), of Suffolk and Melanie Craig, of Richmond; his uncle, Samuel Harris, of Suffolk; two devoted uncles, Christopher Craig, of Richmond, and Bille Virzell, of Norfolk; one niece, Arnayja Parker, of Suffolk; and a host of great-aunts, uncles and cousins.
A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 18, 2010 at 2 p.m. in New Mt. Joy Food For Living Ministries, 307 County St., officiated by Elder David Williams.
