Eloise P. Harris, 72, of Lee Street in Suffolk, passed away Monday, July 19, 2010, at Sentara Obici Hospital.
She was a native of Nansemond County and the daughter of the late Herbert Parrish and Elizabeth Williams. She was also predeceased by her sister, Mattie Jones.
She retired from Birdsong Peanut Company. She was a member of Bethlehem Christian Church.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Frank C. Harris; four daughters, Sharon Holt (Ronnie), of Baltimore, Md., Sylvia Parrish, Lynn Wright and Pamela Claiborne, all of Suffolk; two stepsons, Frank Harris Jr., of Georgia, and William Claiborne Jr., of Franklin; nine grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and one on the way; one brother-in-law, John Harris; three sisters-in-law, Obelia Harris, Shirley Harris and Leola Pinkett; and other relatives and friends.
A funeral will be held at noon on Monday, July 26 at Bethlehem Christian Church, officiated by the Rev. Emanuel Myrick. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
