Stepping aside for health reasons

To the editor:
On behalf of the Suffolk Substitute Teachers’ Association, I bring you warm wishes.
However, in January, my doctor diagnosed me with liver cancer. A surgery followed, and later, an infection put me out of commission for a while.
Therefore, I will not be attending any more School Board meetings and will step down as president of the Suffolk Substitute Teachers’ Association, effective July 15.
Finally, I recommend that the association choose someone else to take over as president.
God bless you all, and may Heaven smile upon you.
