Ruth Golden

Ruth “Dink” Golden, 70, of 114 Nancy Drive #203, departed this earthly life Wednesday, June 9, 2010 at Sentara Obici Hospital. She was a native of Murfreesboro, N.C., and the daughter of the late Estelle Jennings and Joseph Ruffin. She was predeceased by sisters, Novella Owens, Lois Goodman, Doris Wood and Lula Rodgers; brothers, Willie Ruffin, James Ruffin and Robert Ruffin.
Ms. Golden was a clerk employed at Joyner’s Motel. She was a member of New Paul’s Temple Holiness Church of Deliverance where she was a member of the Mass Choir, Pastor’s Aid Committee and the Building Fund Committee. She leaves to cherish her memory: an adopted daughter, Angela McQuillia (Travis); adopted son, Micah Lee; devoted niece, Margaret Clayborne; devoted nephew, Wilson Newby Jr.; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
A service to celebrate her life will be held at 1 p.m., Monday, June 14, 2010 at New Paul’s Temple Holiness Church of Deliverance, 720 Hosier Road, conducted by Pastor Catherine B. Skinner.
