WINDSOR, Va. — John Lewis Winslow Jr., 57, passed away unexpectedly Monday, March 8, 2010, at home. Born in Suffolk, Va., John was the son of the late John L. and Frances Allen Winslow Sr. He was a self-employed paver and construction laborer.
He is survived by his wife, Debra Bulifant Winslow, of Petersburg; two sisters, Peggy W. Babb, of Suffolk, and Maria Mathias, of Corapeake, N.C.; two children, John and Jennifer, two step-daughters, Tiffany and Kelly McCormick; granddaughter, Alexis “Sissy” Beck; nieces and nephews, and special friends, Gary Simon and Tracy Bryant.
A service celebrating John’s life will be held at 5 p.m., Thursday, March 11, in Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield, with the Rev. Jarvis Hearn officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. Burial will be private.
Arrangements are in the care of Colonial Funeral Home, Smithfield.
