Dennis Giles Wade III passed away in the early morning hours of Jan. 8, 2010 in San Francisco, Calif., after an extended illness.
Denny was born in Norfolk, Va. on March 30, 1950 to Mildred Darden Wade and the late Dennis G. Wade Jr.
Survivors other than his mother include his sister, Nancy Wade Butcher, of Memphis, Tenn.; nephews, Randy Butcher, of Hartford, Conn.; Danny Butcher, of Greenville, S.C.; niece, Dr. Sharon Butcher, of Memphis, Tenn.; and great-niece, Claire Butcher, of Greenville, S.C. He also leaves a special friend and caregiver, Alvin Amino, of San Francisco, Calif.
Denny was a 1968 graduate of Suffolk High School and in 1972 graduate of the University of Virginia. He worked for many years in San Francisco as an investment broker for Merrill-Lynch.
As requested, his ashes will be spread over the San Francisco Bay.
Denny will be greatly missed by family and friends, especially by his mother, whom he called at least once every day.
