Ann Wilkins Bunch, 76, of Suffolk, passed away Jan. 6, 2010.
A native of Portsmouth, she was the daughter of the late Ervin Clyde Wilkins and Emma Virginia Holland Wilkins. She was also predeceased by her husband, Stanley Carlton Bunch.
She retired from the Suffolk Public Schools as a special education teacher, having worked in the field of special education since 1972. She was a consultant for Western Tidewater Community Service Board, a life member of Suffolk Retired Teachers Association and the National Education Association and was an associate member of the Windsor Lion’s Club. She was a member of Suffolk Christian Church.
She is survived by her sons and daughter-in-law, Karl W. Bunch and Eric L. and Priscilla Bunch, all of Suffolk; two grandchildren, Jennifer B. Miller and husband, Steven, and Tyler D. Bunch; one great grandchild, Kaleb Ross Miller, and a special nephew, John Johnson and his family.
A funeral will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Suffolk Christian Church, with the Rev. Michael D. Halley officiating. Burial will follow at Holly Lawn Cemetery. Friends may join the family for visitation on Friday from 7 to 8 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home and Crematory, 3515 Robs Drive, and other times at the home of Eric and Priscilla Bunch.
