The Walmart store on College Drive, has reopened after having been evacuated due to a gas smell in the building.

At about 9:47 a.m., officials from Suffolk Fire and Rescue were dispatched to investigate.

According to reports, officials have checked gas fixtures inside and outside of the store, finding no items of concern.

A Suffolk spokesperson announced at 11:20 a.m. that the building had been declared safe and was being reopened for employees and customers.
