SUFFOLK — Ajane Harvey entered into eternal rest Sept. 2, 2009. She was a beloved mother, sister, grandmother, great-grandmother and aunt.
Ajane was well-known for her cooking in Homer’s Restaurant in Suffolk. She was always friendly and had a pleasant smile.
She was the daughter of the late James Harvey II and Beulah Harvey, of Suffolk.
She leaves a daughter to cherish her memories, Cheryl Williams (Haywood); three granddaughters, Nicole Harvey, LaShanda Johnson (Gerald) and Marquita Harvey; one grandson, Corey Cross; three great-grandchildren, Jordan Phillips, Tia Boone and Lamont Skeeter Jr.; goddaughter, Ashley Miles; two sisters, Dorothy Harvey and Beulah Phillips; brothers, Vernon Harvey (Shirley) and James Harvey III; a host of aunts, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held at noon Tuesday at Piney Grove Baptist Church, Buckhorn, with the Rev. Larry Parker officiating.
Burial will follow in Carver Memorial Cemetery.
Family will greet friends and other relatives at Mr. and Mrs. Haywood Williams III at 209 N. Capital St.
Paying of last respects will be from 2 to 7 p.m. Saturday, from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday and from noon to 7 p.m. Monday at Wyatt & Sons Funeral Home.
Visitation will begin one hour prior to the time of service.
