A 27-year-old Suffolk woman turned herself in to Suffolk police Wednesday morning on charges of allegedly having sexual relations with a 17-year-old boy.

Laura Leaven of Cypress Chapel Road was arrested on charges of crimes against nature and delinquency of a minor.

The incident, which allegedly happened in May, was not reported until August, said Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department. The victim reported he was abused while visiting another person’s house.

The woman was listed as a counselor, but is currently unemployed, George said.
