Shane Blair

Shane Wilson Blair, 18, a student at King’s Fork High School, died Aug. 16, 2009.
He was a native of Suffolk, a member of Liberty Baptist Church and a good Christian boy. Shane was a member of the APA Nine Ball League and Buckhorn Hunt Club. He loved to hunt, fish and go four-wheeling.
Shane was preceded in death by his grandparents, Ruth Ann Eure and Wanita and Earl Spivey.
He is survived by his mother and stepfather, Melissa and Louis Eure; father and stepmother, Terry and Earlene Blair, all of Suffolk; sisters and brothers, Sierra Ann Eure, Terry Dean Blair Jr., Louis Mehalko, Cherly Simpson, Brittany Ashby; grandparents, Doris and Dane Winningham, Ted and Sue Blair, Butch and Betty Eure; great-grandparents, Gerdie and Don Brooks, of Indiana, Sam and Maxine Courtney, of Arkansas, Lillian Winningham, of Suffolk; aunts and uncles, April and Andy Klages, Tim and Dawn Eure, Curtis Eure, Rolinda and Chuck Pond, Jerry and Mary Winningham, David and Kim Winningham; great-aunts, Doreen Bell, Donna Welch, Mattie Jones, Janice Jones; great-uncle, John Courtney; girlfriend “Missy” and numerous cousins.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday at 2 p.m. at Liberty Baptist Church by Pastor David Blevins, with burial in Holly Lawn Cemetery. The family will receive friends in the R.W. Baker & Co.
