Lloyd Baker

Lloyd B. Baker, of 1004 Whitemarsh Road, peacefully passed away on Sunday, Feb. 1, 2009 at his residence. He was born on Oct. 4, 1928 to the late Joshua Baker and Mary Jane Mitchell Baker.
A native of Suffolk, Lloyd was a member of St. Mark African Methodist Episcopal Church, and a United States Coast Guard Veteran.
Lloyd was preceded in death by his wife, Irene Baker and daughter, Brenda Faye Harris.
Lloyd leaves behind to cherish his memory and celebrate his legacy, two granddaughters, Faye A. Millhouse (Kelton Sr.), and Jennifer Baker; great-grandson, Kelton V. Millhouse Jr.; brother, James Willie Baker, sister, Anne B. Saunders; nephew, Bishop Madison Copeland; niece, Bettie Vick, and a host of other family and friends.
Mr. Baker will be on view from noon to 6 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 5 at the funeral home. The family will receive visitors at 104 Chenango Court at all other times. A service of remembrance will be held 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 6 at St. Mark A.M.E. Church. Interment will immediately follow at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens. Professional services entrusted to T.E.
