Pattie Morris

Pattie E. Kearney Morris, 96, of 705 Ashley Ave., peacefully passed away, Saturday, Dec. 27, 2008 at her home. She was born on April 1, 1912 in Littleton, N.C. to the late James and Hattie Kearney.
Pattie relocated to Suffolk, Va. during her teenage years and worked at Planters Peanuts for 32 years before retiring in 1977. She was a faithful and devoted member of Saint Phillips Pentecostal Church until her health began to fail.
She was preceded in death by her son Isaac Kearney.
Pattie leaves behind to cherish her memory and celebrate her life, one son Moses Riddick (Katina); four grandchildren, Isaac Baker (Crystal), Sheila Lee (Robert), Joan Davis (Tracy) and Frederick Kearney (Sheila); one daughter-in-law, Thelma Kearney Driver; a special and devoted friend, Lillian Shields; and a host of great grandchildren, other family and friends.
Ms. Kearney will be on view noon to 5p.m. and the family will greet and receive guests at the funeral home 3 to 5p.m., Monday, Dec. 29. A home going celebration will be held noon, Tuesday, Dec. 30 at Saint Phillips Pentecostal Church, Bishop Goodwin, eulogist. Interment will immediately follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery.
