Teen injured in fire incident

Suffolk Fire and Rescue is investigating an incident in which a 19-year-old was seriously burned. Just before 9 p.m. Tuesday, firefighters were called to the 2000 block of Pittmantown Road.
Early reports are that the 19-year-old and a second person were attempting to start a fire with gasoline, when the 19-year-old caught on fire. The victim sustained very serious burns. He has been transported by ambulance to Sentara Norfolk General Hospital. His condition is unknown.
The incident is under investigation.
