Suffolk police have charged one man and are asking for help finding another in connection with a September bank robbery.
Alexander Ramon Perez, 26, of Dolina Drive in Virginia Beach, was arrested Sunday and charged with one count of armed robbery, one count of using a firearm in the commission of a felony and one count of wearing a mask in public.
Warrants for the same charges also have been issued for Andrew Glenford Brown, 20, of Cokes Lane in Virginia Beach. His current location is unknown.
The men are accused of robbing the First Federal Savings and Loan location in the 1700 block of Main Street at about 11:20 a.m. Sept. 25. Initial police reports indicated the robbers had worn bandanas and displayed a handgun while asking for money.
Suffolk Police Detective Carlos Gonzalez is the lead investigator on the case. He was aided by detectives from Norfolk in the identification of Perez.
Anyone with information about Brown’s location should call Crime Line at 1-888=LOCK-U-Up. Callers to Crime Line never have to give their names or appear in court. If the information leads to an arrest, the caller could qualify for a reward of up to $1,000.
