This year’s 31st annual Peanut Fest is sure to be a dandy. Just like the 30 festivals that preceded this coming week’s event, Suffolk residents and those from all around the Peanut capital will enjoy a variety of experiences.
The family-friendly event honors the city’s agriculture heritage and devotion to peanuts, our favorite legumes. Suffolk Peanut Fest has been featured in numerous magazines, including Southern Living, The Southern Farmers Almanac, Best Festivals—Mid Atlantic, Sauveurs, a French Cooking Magazine and Virginia Business.
Suffolk residents have come to know Peanut Fest for its fun family activities including concerts, amusement rides, contests and competitions, a demolition derby, a truck and tractor pull, motorcycle rally, fireworks and much more. Couple these great activities with local and national entertainment and you have a weekend full of good times!
The Suffolk Peanut Fest boasts as many as 200,000 visitors over four days for the event making it the largest event put on in our city. According to suffolkfest.org, Peanut Fest attracts folks from as far north as Canada, stretching down the east coast and to the mid-west.
With something for everyone, Suffolk Peanut Fest is the ideal event to create new memories and family traditions.
