Hirsch’s 15 K’s, and HR, leads River
In what has become common for Nansemond River’s baseball squad this spring, Will Hirsch took care of business on the mound and at the plate Tuesday evening, leading the Warriors to a 4-2 victory at Deep Creek.
Hirsch (6-0) tossed a complete game, fanning 15 Hornets along the way; and he also went 2-for-3 at the plate with a solo homer.
Deep Creek scored two runs in the bottom of the first off Hirsch, but they were blanked from there.
The Warriors (13-1, 9-1) host King’s Fork Friday at 4 p.m.
