Fork, Lakeland and River all get Southeastern District softball wins Tuesday

Western Branch 5
In Suffolk Tuesday, King’s Fork scored three runs in the bottom of the seventh inning to rally for a 6-5 victory over Western Branch.
The Lady Bulldogs (5-5, 5-5) got a two-out, two-run single from Tina Parker to score the final runs of the game.
Rachel Bailor was the winning pitcher for KF.
Lakeland 16-11,
Oscar Smith 12-12
In Chesapeake, Lakeland finished up a suspended game against Oscar Smith.
Trailing 9-6 in the fourth at the time the game was stopped, the Lady Cavs scored 10 runs in the bottom of the sixth inning Tuesday to get a 16-12 win.
In the scheduled game at OS, the Lady Tigers won 12-11.
Lakeland (4-9, 2-8) hosts Great Bridge Friday at 5:30 p.m.
Nansemond River 5,
Deep Creek 2
Also on the road, Nansemond River avenged an earlier 8-7 loss to Deep Creek with a 5-2 win Tuesday evening.
The Lady Warriors scored all their runs in the first three innings and Lindly Theroux took the victory in the circle to improve her season mark to 8-4.
Stacey Dorn and Sarah Brooks each had two hits and two RBI.
NR (10-4, 7-3) hosts King’s Fork Friday at 4 p.m.
