Daniel Creelman Jr., 83, died Dec. 1, 2005, in Obici Hospital.

Born Oct. 12, 1922, in Philadelphia, he was the son of the late Daniel and Margaret Borland Creelman. Mr. Creelman was preceded in death by his son, Daniel Creelman III and his wife, Jean.

Mr. Creelman served on the USS Alabama during WWII. He served as a police officer in Norfolk and retired as a lieutenant from the Virginia Beach Police Department.

Survivors include his wife, Clara F. Creelman; son, Mark Creelman of Chesapeake; stepson, Ronnie Simpson and wife Debbie; stepdaughter, Elaine Jackson; grandchildren, Zachary Simpson, Jill Craig, Wes Jackson, Jeffery

and Jacen Creelman;

sisters-in-law, Elise O’Haggen and Yovenne Parvin and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11 a.m. in the R. W. Baker & Co. Funeral Home and Crematory by the Rev. Dolan Talbert with burial in Holland Cemetery.
