Falcons, Bronocs should have happy Thanksgiving

I am SO glad it’s Thanksgiving. Not because of the family thing, or even the football thing, but because this gives me an excuse to fill my depression, frustration and unmitigated fury at the Redskins with turkey, mashed potatoes and pumpkin pie. Maybe I’ll feel better about them then… but I doubt it.
Atlanta 28, Detroit 7. The Falcons are in need of a win after giving two away. Michael Vick has shown his passing skills lately, and Warrick Dunn should pass 100 yards today. Atlanta’s defense is below average, but Detroit’s is even farther down.
Denver 24, Dallas 13. On second thought, maybe I won’t eat too much, because I don’t want to fall asleep for this one. Jake Plummer has just been going nuts lately, firing 219 passes without an interception, and he’s got Rod Smith and Ashley Lelie. But Dallas can’t spend too much time watching them, because Mike Anderson and Tatum Bell are each on pace to rush for over 1,000 yards this year. Drew Bledsoe is solid and Terry Glenn has done great for the Cowboy offense, but Champ Bailey and John Lynch are waiting with open arms and open hands.
