Juvenile arrested in bomb threat

CREEKSVILLE – What started as a prank, ended in an arrest.
The Northampton County Sheriff’s Office arrested a juvenile last week and charged him with a Class H felony after the report of a bomb threat here.
Chief Detective Daryl Harmon said the sheriff’s office received a call from Northampton County High School – East last week concerning a bomb threat.
Harmon said the school was evacuated and searched, but there was no bomb found on the premises.
Harmon continued the investigation and traced the call received by the school. It was traced to a cellular phone and subsequently to a juvenile.
&uot;He was taken into custody and charged on a juvenile petition,&uot; Harmon reported.
The Class H felony is making a false report concerning a destructive device. The juvenile was placed into secure custody and had his first hearing on Monday.
