Mr. Thomas E. &uot;Bubba&uot; Irby Jr. entered into eternal rest Aug. 26, 2005 in Bridgeport, Conn. He was born in Suffolk to the late Thomas E. &uot;Bufus&uot; Irby Sr. and Ella Louise Ward Irby. He was a lifelong resident of Stratford, Conn.

He leaves to cherish his memory his wife, Elizabeth Irby; a son, Wayne A. Irby of Winston-Salem, N.C.; a daughter, Staff Sgt. Rhonda Pittman (Dale) of Killen, Tex.; five granddaughters; three great-grandchildren; a sister, Bettie I. Washington (Howard) of Suffolk; a brother, Larry T. Irby (Wanda) Bridgeport, Conn., and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

A viewing will be held from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday. Aug. 31, 2005 at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 2:30 p.m. Thursday, Sept. 1, 2005 at T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home. Interment will immediately follow at Carver Cemetery.
