Figure things out at Holland next month

In mid-September, ladies from across Suffolk will have a new place to maintain their figure.

Fittingly, it’s called &uot;Figures.&uot;

The facility (actually, its full title is &uot;Figures: Fitness for Every Woman&uot;), in the Holland Plaza, will have a grand opening Sept. 14-17. It’s the venture of Debi Lee, along with her partner/daughter Kristi Holland.

&uot;I started exercising at another facility, and I decided I could do better,&uot; said Holland, who managed the office of her mom’s Holland housecleaning service for five years (Lee recently sold the company after 19 years).

&uot;We wanted to offer an opportunity to let every woman feel better about herself,&uot; Lee said. &uot;We searched until we found the best equipment.&uot;

There are 26 workout stations around the building, which exercise all aspects of the body. Clients will go through each station in about 45 seconds, finishing a cycle in about half an hour.

&uot;This equipment is far superior,&uot; Holland said. &uot;There’s two hydraulics on the machines. There’s two sets of muscles in motion.&uot;

In the future, the facility hopes to offer aerobic, strength training and yoga classes.

&uot;We’re very excited about our studio,&uot; Lee said. &uot;We offer state-of-the-art equipment, and we believe that women will want to come in here, regardless of their age and physical capabilities.&uot;
