James H. Bangley Jr.

James H. Bangley, 77, of Suffolk died July 14, 2005. At the age of 15, Mr. Bangley was the projectionist for Suffolk’s Cavalier Movie Theatre he then went on to work the projectors for Suffolk’s Chadwick Theatre and Palace Theatre.
He later went on to work at WLPM.
He was also a former partner of Suffolk Radio and TV.
All of Mr. Bangley’s work experience led him to WTKR, Channel 3 where he would eventually retire as chief engineer.
He was a native of Suffolk and was a member of Westminster Reformed Presbyterian Church, where he was an elder and formerly taught bible studies at church and at home.
He was a member of the American Modelers Association, the Suffolk Model Aviation Club, and Brainbusters of Norfolk.
He was also a former member of the Suffolk Volunteer Fire Company.
He was the son of the late, Ethel M. Bangley and James H. Bangley Sr.
He was also predeceased by his son Jimmy K. Bangley.
Survivors including his loving wife of 56 years, Mary Frances Brinkley Bangley of Suffolk, daughter and son-in-law, Mary Ann and Bill Edwards of Ivor, son and fianc\u00E9 Glenn V. Bangley and Dana Cambell of Stanardsville; grandchildren: Natalie Bangley, Phaedra Bangley, Rhiannon Edwards, Alex Edwards, and Will Edwards; brothers: Robert L. Bangley Sr. of Suffolk and the Rev. Bernard K. Bangley of Lynchburg.
Friends may join the family Sunday from 3 to 5 p.m. at Parr Funeral Home, and other times at the residence.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, July 18, 2005, at Westminster Reformed Pres-byterian Church. The interment will be in the Cedar Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Ruffin Alphin will officiate.
