Earlier this month, Suffolk Retired Teachers observed AARP’s National Day of Service by volunteering to assist Suffolk Habitat for Humanity for a day. Members helped to prepare packets for mailing in just three hours. It would have normally taken the volunteer agency three to four days for such an undertaking, said Suffolk Habitat Coordinator Angela Koncz. The Retired Teachers also donated $100 to Habitat.
