Frank A. Manning III

Frank Armstead Manning, III, 19, died on May 21, 2005.
He was employed at the Newport News Shipyard as a rigger and was an apprentice.
He was an excellent baseball player; Frank’s dream was to become pro.
He was currently on a team through the shipyard where they just placed second in the nationals in Florida.
He is survived by his mother, Meeche Manning; brother, William Manning; stepfather, John Herring; his natural father, Frank Manning, Jr.; was under the guardianship of Glenn and Becky Russell and their son, Jeremy Russell; grandparents, Fred and Nita Hengel; great-grandmother, Emily Harrell; aunts, Susan Outlaw and Emily Branch; and cousins, Chad Outlaw, Lori White, Cassie Lohse.
He will be truly missed by his love, Kristen Fisher.
A memorial service to honor him and his cousin, Justin Glenn Russell, will be held at 5 p.m. Wednesday, May 25, 2005 in the Windsor High School auditorium by the Rev. Ray Hampton, with visitation following at the residence.
The interment will take place at 11 a.m. on Thursday at Meadowbrook Memorial Gardens.
The family requests that memorial contributions be made to The American Cancer Society or to the Save the Bay Foundation. Harrell and Hill Funeral Home is serving the family.
