Mrs. Mary G. Rivers, 88, of 118 Charlotte Ave., Suffolk; died May 7, 2005 at her residence.

She was a native of Franklin. She was the daughter of the late Fannie Goodman. She was the widower of Stonewall Rivers. She retired from Planter Peanut Company. Her survivors include one adopted daughter, Beatrice Porter of Suffolk.

A graveside service will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 10, 2005 in Carver Memorial Cemetery by Brother Solomon Darden. Crocker Funeral Home is in charge.
