Suffolk’s growing modeling and simulation industry is getting another shot in the arm.
On Tuesday, the Department of Defense announced that General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Suffolk, will receive a $10.3 million cost-plus-fixed-fee task order contract for services in support of the U.S. Joint Forces Command’s Joint Experimentation Program and Joint Futures Lab in north Suffolk.
The work will take place in Suffolk, and should be finalized by July. Contract funds will not expire at the end of the current fiscal year. This contract was competitively procured, with 30 proposals solicited and one offer received, according to DoD officials.
