Helen Mae Simpson, 75, of 149 Wrenn Road, Suffolk, died Feb. 7, 2005 in Obici Hospital. She was a native of Isle of Wight County. She was preceded in death by her father and mother, Thomas James Blanch and Delia Stiger Blanch; her husband, David Simpson and son, David Simpson Jr.
She was a former member of Mt. Lebanon Church of God In Christ.
She is survived by six daughters, Delia Mae Walker (Willie) of Belvidere, N.C., Adell Wyatt (Wyatt) and Yvonne Richmond (Henry) both of New York, Alice Whitaker, Barbara Wiggins (Junious) and Cosandra McDonald (Henry) all of Suffolk; nine grandchildren, 12 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
The funeral will be held at noon on Saturday, Feb. 12, 2005 in Crocker Funeral Home Chapel by the Rev. Larry Parker. The interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Crocker Funeral Home from 7 to 8 p.m. on Friday night. Crocker Funeral Home is handling the arrangements.
