Discovery shifts to murder

The investigation into the discovery of a woman’s body off of Suffolk’s Route 58 has now shifted to a murder probe.
On Sunday, the woman’s body was found discarded by a passing motorist around 4 p.m., halfway along an embankment where Wilroy Road intersects with the 58 Bypass.
An autopsy was conducted on Monday as new details of the case surfaced.
Police now know that the woman found is a 22-year-old black female known as Porcha Emm Banks, of Norfolk, according to Police Sgt. Stephen W. Smith.
Police are not releasing the specific cause of death for &uot;investigative reasons,&uot; according to police reports.
