Worley gets third top district coach title

It was more of the same for Lakeland field hockey coach Tara Worley last season. For the fourth straight time, her team won the South-eastern District regular season and tournament titles. For the third time in four years, the Lady Cavaliers went unbeaten in the district. And for the third time in five years, Worley was voted the district’s top coach.
&uot;They were a special group,&uot; Worley said of her squad, which didn’t allow a district goal all season. &uot;I feel extremely lucky, not only with the girls, but with the support I’ve received from the school.
&uot;Of course I feel honored, but all the girls worked equally as hard, and the support I had from the parents and teachers at Lakeland was phenomenal. It made my job easy. Without them, Lakeland would not have been as successful.&uot;
