Mary B. Brinkley

Mary B. Brinkley, daughter of the late Julius and Minerva Clark Blount, was born on November 14, 1914 in Edenton, North Carolina.

God called her home on November 9, 2004 at Nansemond Pointe Health Care Center in Suffolk, Virginia. Her husband, Isaac Brinkley predeceased her.

After moving to Suffolk, Mary joined Balm Of Gilead Missionary Baptist Church under the ministry of Rev. V.T. Chambers.

She served on the Missionary Circle at Balm of Gilead.

She leaves to cherish her memories: Lizzie & Leroy Scott, Sr. (Caregiver Overseer); godchildren, Liz (Caregiver), Tracey, Leroy, Jr., Wayne, Annette Scott and Janice Diallo; a host of nieces, nephews and friends.

The funeral service is on Monday, November 15, 2004 in T.E. Cooke-Overton FH Chapel at 1 p.m.

The viewing is on Sunday, November 14, 2004 in T.E. Cooke-Overton FH Chapel from 1 to 6 p.m. The family will greet friends at 186 Greenfield Crest Suffolk. The Interment at Balm of Gilead Cemetery on White Marsh Road in Suffolk T.E. Cooke-Overton Funeral Home is in charge.
