Teens charged with burglarizing businesses

Authorities on Tuesday charged four teen-agers with a string of business burglaries.
Three juveniles, ages 14, 15 and 16, have been charged with the July 4 burglary of Mike Duman Car Rental in the 2200 block of North Main Street, said Lt. Debbie George, spokeswoman for the Suffolk Police Department. The three broke into the business and stole three vehicles.
Two of those juveniles, along with a 17-year-old, have also been charged for the July 4 burglary of Dappers Clothing, in the 1000 block of Portsmouth Boulevard, she said. A large amount of clothing was taken during that burglary.
The 14 and 15-year-old youth were also charged with the Aug. 25 burglary of Upfront Clothing, 915 W. Washington St., George said. Clothing was also taken during that incident.
The 14-year-old faces additional charges for burglarizing that business a second time on Aug. 26.
