Linda Ann Perry

On Wednesday, Sept. 1, 2004, our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ received our beloved mother, grandmother, sister, aunt and friend, Linda Ann Perry, home.
Linda Perry died peacefully in Obici Hospital.
She was born May 1, 1951 at 313 Van Buren Ave. She was the daughter of the late Dorothy Beamon and William Chambliss. She was predeceased by a devoted friend of 28 years, Burtell Edwards.
She was a former member of Metropolitan Baptist Church. She was employed by the Food Service Department at Obici Hospital for 30 years. She was an excellent, hard working mother and didn’t mind working to provide for her family.
She leaves to cherish her memory: her husband, Pernel Perry, one daughter, Tosha Perry of Suffolk; one son, Tron Perry of Daytona Beach, Fla.; one stepdaughter, Robin Edwards; six grandchildren, Duquan Wilson, Davante Wilson, De’Andre Wilson, Darieon Perry, Dequazhanique Perry, and Dynazja Perry; eight sisters, Evelyn Beamon Inez Beamon, Carry Beamon, Yolanda Balb, Sharon Wiggins (Earl), Twanda Perry, and Margaret Beamon, all of Suffolk, and Brenda Pitt of Chesapeake; five brothers, Thomas Beamon (Malinda), Bennie Beamon (Karen) of Suffolk, Danny Chambliss of Hampton, Rusty Chambliss of New York, and Benette Jones; stepmother, Betty Whitney of Suffolk; one brother-in-law; two sisters-in-law; and nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Funeral services will be held Monday at 2 p.m. in Metropolitan Baptist Church, conducted by Bishop E. Wiggins. Interment will be in Carver Memorial Cemetery. The body will be taken to the church at 12:30 p.m.
