Rita D. Jones, 57, passed away Thursday, July 22, 2004 in Obici Hospital. She was the daughter of the late David Allmon Sr. and Eleanor Freeman Allmon. She was a member of Macedonia AME Church. Rita is survived by one son Prentis Herndon (Adrienne) of Norfolk, one daughter Renetta Herndon-Cintron (Michael) of Silver Springs, MD; one brother David H. Allmon, Jr. (Vivian) of Suffolk; one sister Barbara J. Smallwood of Richmond; three grandchildren, Malcolm, Sidney and Daniel. Two nephews, four nieces, three grand nephews, three grand nieces, a special friend Roy Tillery; cousins, other relatives and devoted friends. Two aunts Martha Owens, of Suffolk and Rosanna Cureton, of Norfolk; and one uncle Herman Freeman Jr., of Seattle, WA. A funeral will be held on Monday, July 26 at noon at Macedonia AME Church, Pine St., Suffolk. Burial is in the Holly Lawn Cemetery. Viewing will be Sunday, July 25 from 12-6 pm.
